Google Tag Manager (GTM) is one of many tag management solutions that advertisers may use to store and manage third party code. As of March 2020, Snapchat has a "Snap Pixel" native integration with GTM that is recommended to replace the previous set-up process that used a custom HTML tag.
Watch the video or take a look at the step-by-step guide below to implement the Snap Pixel using the GTM integration.
How to create a new workspace in Google Tag Manager:
If you do not already have a Workspace in GTM, you will begin by creating one.
1. Navigate to the GTM 'Workspace' that you wish to implement the Snap Pixel.
2. Select Templates from the list of options along the left side of the Workspace dashboard.
3. Select Search Gallery, which will open up a list of all templates available in the Community Template Gallery.
4. Search for or scroll down to find Snap Pixel by Snapchat, click on it and then select Add to workspace.
5. Once the Snap Pixel by Snapchat template has been added, you can create a variety of tags, triggers, and variables to measure different actions Snapchatters take on your website.
